If I was a School Principal

I believe that I would be a fantastic school principal for the following reasons.
Firstly I would go to the bank, get some money and buy hot soup and buttered bread for kids who go to school hungry because I know if kids are fed their learning levels go higher.
Secondly, for the company which I set up I would have lots of money and I could build the school a pool. If you are taking your class on a swimming trip and one of your students said they can't swim that’s why I think having a school pool is a useful idea.
Thirdly, I will absolutely make sure that there are no bully's in my school because I will set good rules that most teachers would agree with. One of my rules would be if anyone says a strong put down in front of the teacher they would be sent down to the green seat.
So in conclusion I strongly believe that I would be a great school principal.

If I Was The School Principal

I believe that I would be an awesome school principal because of many different reasons.

Firstly, I would let children buy beef or chicken noodles everyday at first and second break and it would only be $1. The reason why I would be selling them is so that kids with no food can have some. How I would do that is by going to New World and asking them for some free noodles in cups and in return I would let them make an advertisement in my school's newsletter.
Secondly, I would play with the kids so that they know I’m not boring and mean, I’m actually fun and nice. I would try to do that every second break.
Thirdly  I would make the school a big sand pit , so that the kids can have some fun in it and make awesome things. How I would do that is by asking a few people from the community, and in return let them come into the staff room and have some food for free!

In conclusion I think that I would make an awesome school principal for all of those reasons!

If I was School Principal

I feel that, I would make a popular school principal and I can tell you all the reasons why.
Specifically, I will make free school breakfasts for all school students to help students learn. I’d ask all parents to please help organise and make a roster.

Secondly, I’d get a pool for school students to refresh up and learn to swim. We will do a garage sale to raise the money to build the pool.

Furthermore, I will separate the junior playground from the senior playground because seniors will push the juniors away. I will send out a notice to let all students know. Furthermore, I’d design a playground like Rainbows End and  I will do a fundraiser to get the money for activities and rides. This would make school students have exciting days and weeks.

As you can see, I’d make a wonderful principal for school students and make them have the dream of their life.

If I Was A Principal

I am strongly sure that I will make a great principal  for many reasons….

Firstly I am a kid so I know what kids would like and I will get them things that they like. I can achieve this by putting a question on Pepweb and children will write what they think they need in their classrooms to learn. The 3 top things they would like I would get for the children to learn, as long as they were sensible.

Secondly I would buy a big school pool so children could learn to swim and they would be safe and not drown. I would hire a bodyguard and open up a little stand that sells little swim suits and goggles. Therefore I need to raise money by having a cupcake stall where the cupcakes are made by the kind students who want to help our school.

Thirdly I believe that we should have free lunch and breakfast to help children learn at school by asking all the bakery's in Otara and Papatoetoe to give us food donations. In return I will pick lucky children to interview the bakery's and make an advertisement to persuade the children's parents to buy food from their bakery's.

Finally I'm so proud of our teachers and our children that I don’t just think - I know that they deserve a mini holiday on their birthday. Unless they misbehave before their birthday and they have to pick up rubbish at break times, but I will give them three chances.

I will be the most kind, honest, generous, and the most loyal
principal in Auckland and I will have the most luckiest kids in NZ .

Legend of the Kea

Long before the time of people there was a land far far away that was filled with the colourful plumage of birds and magnificent forest as far as you could see. All the birds shared a beautiful bird song and they lived in peace and harmony. Cheeky Krikta the kea always did mischievous things. Suddenly, birds began to lay more eggs and the time of quarrelling began. They stole food off other birds beaks and their pain made the sky dark. But then the incredible ruler of all the birds appeared Ka! He said "Why have you made a such a mess? For the first time the forest is the most disgusting place I've ever seen, you need to clean this mess up! Meet me in my tree so I may give you a place to live and your punishment then I will give you your beaks, wings and bird songs." But Krikta stole a beak, bird songs and wings. The next day Ka saw Krikta sing to Starling. Ka was horrified he said "who dared to give you a  beautiful bird song." Krikta didn't reply, so Ka left without giving Krikta a place to live. Then Krikta followed Ka into the Sun's light which shone on his wings and stained them an orange colour. Then Ka gave Krikta a comment he said , Krikta you are very smart but you now lose your bird songs.

The Cockatiel

One day last week, a dad wanted to enrol his son at our school. But then suddenly, a cockatiel landed on Mrs Compston's head! The dad grabbed a book and put the book on his head to protect his head. Toby must have scared it off in the library or the VW room. Mrs Osborne found the cockatiel and found it's owner on trade me. But the dad still wanted to enrol his son to our school! And then the cockatiel went back to its owner. The cockatiel had a punk hairstyle and red cheeks.

New Tree Hill

I believe we should plant a pohutakawa tree on One Tree Hill.
Firstly the pohutakawa is a symbol of N.Z. and our Christmas tree represents N.Z. and also it reminds us about the joy of Christmas.
Secondly it is a very strong tree and there is very heavy wind blowing on One Tree Hill.
Thirdly a pohutakawa tree can attract native birds who are very important pollinators that can make a great environment.
Finally and most inportantly it can last for 1,000 years so it can be there for ages.
It's obvious that a pohutakawa tree should be planted on One Tree Hill.

What tree should be planted on One Tree Hill?

I believe that we should plant a pohutukawa tree on One Tree Hill.
I think that the bright red pohutukawa is a strong tree and it is very windy up on One Tree Hill so it will survive. It is certain that it would attract beautiful native birds onto the pohutukawa tree. It is a symbol of New Zealand and reminds me about Christmas because red is a Christmas colour and the pohutukawa tree flowers are red.
In my opinion, we should plant a  pohutakawa tree on One Tree Hill.

What tree should be planted on One Tree Hill?

In my opinion I surely think that a powhutakawa tree should be planted on One Tree Hill.
Firstly, it is a extremely strong tree and One Tree Hill is very windy so it will not fall down. Secondly, it can at least last for one thousand years if not more! Thirdly, native birds will suck up the nectar such as tuis, bellbirds and more.
Finally I think that a powhutakawa tree should be planted on One Tree Hill.

What tree should be planted on One Tree Hill?

I believe that we should plant a Pohutakawa tree on One Tree Hill because it is strong.

I think that the beautiful Pohutakawa tree has bright red flowers and it stands out so we can see it around Auckland. In my opinion it's a well known symbol of NZ and it's like our Christmas tree.
Thirdly native birds are attracted to the Pohutakawa tree because of the nectar.

For these reasons I think we should plant a Pohutakawa tree on One Tree Hill.

Cats and native birds

In my opinion I believe that cats should be allowed outside even though they eat native birds.
If cats stay inside all the time then they will get cheeky and start pooing and peeing everywhere in your house so that you have a mess to clean.
Secondly you would not like to chase after your cat all of the time just to keep your cat inside!
Cats will get bored if they stay inside and they will start to rip up everything in your house ( like the curtains and the rubbish).
In conclusion, I say that cats are allowed outside.

School uniforms

I feel that we shouldn't have to wear our school uniforms.
I believe that it would be more fair because teacher's do not wear uniform's.
For this reason, if you can't find your uniform you are in trouble. I feel that we can look different and show off our personality if we don't wear our uniforms. In conclusion, I believe that children should not wear uniforms.

The Dangerous Cockatiel

One fine day Mrs Osborne came with a bird on her elbow and shoulder. When it was in the library Toby was chasing it. Mrs Compston was interviewing a dad when a poor little bird came and gave her a fright by hopping on her head. The man quickly grabbed the school book and put it on his head to protect it. Mrs Compston took it home and found the owner on trademe.

School Uniform

I feel that students should wear school uniforms at Papatoeotoe East Primary School.

Firstly, I think that students at Papatoetoe East Primary School should wear a school uniform because If you get lost people can see which school you're from and take you back to your school.
Secondly, I think that students should wear a school uniform because it is not expensive.
Lastly, I think students should be wearing uniforms so we are all the same.

Surely, it makes it easy to decide what to wear because there's no choice.

Moro bars are better than picnic bars

In my opinion I believe that we should only eat Moro bars instead of picnic bars!

I feel that Moro bars are more delicious because they are 90% Cadbury chocolate and 10% caramel and picnic has 80% chocolate 10% caramel and 10% nuts.
Secondly, picnic has nuts which some people are allergic too and they can get stuck in your throat.
Finally, Moro has a chocolate infused mixture which is DELICIOUS!

For these reasons, we should only eat Moro!

Cats And Native Birds

I feel cats should be allowed outside even though they eat native birds.
Surely enough if you keep it in side it will rip up stuff to bits. Cats just want to feel wild so if you give them water they might reject it.
Secondly cats need to be free from a hot stuffy houses.
Therefore, because a cat is cute why would you lock in a cute cat - what if it's a kitten?
If your still not certain too BAD! Cats should be allowed outside even if they eat native birds.

What Tree Should be Planted on One Tree Hill?

I believe that we should plant a pohutakawa tree on One Tree Hill.

Firstly, it has attractive velvet red flowers and it stands out perfectly and it's all over NZ.

Secondly, native birds and animals are attracted to the pohutakawa tree because of the nectar.

Lastly, it's a symbol of New Zealand and it's like our Christmas tree.

In my opinion, we should plant a pohutakawa tree on One Tree Hill because it's a NZ symbol and it perfectly stands out.

Picnic bars are yummier than Moro bars.

Some believe that picnic bars are yummier than Moro bars.

In my opinion picnic bars are even cheaper than Moro bars, so they are not expensive.
Secondly picnic bars make you want to have a picnic because of their title and picnics are delicious.
Lastly it is very classic, from the olden days.

For these reasons, I'm certain that picnic bars are even better than Moro bars.

What tree should be planted on One Tree Hill?

In my opinion, we should plant a pohutukawa tree on One Tree Hill.

Firstly, Native birds are attracted to the pohutukawa tree because the nectar is so sweet and so tasty. Secondly, it can last for 1000 years so it will be there for centuries. Finally, it's a symbol of New Zealand and it's like our Christmas tree and reminds us about the joy of Christmas. The pohutukawa is a very strong tree and will survive in the wind.
For these reasons  we should plant it on One Tree Hill!

Cats and Native Birds

In my opinion cats should be allowed outside even though they eat native birds.
For the reason that cats need freedom to run outside like a bursting aeroplane and have fresh air. Also if cats are left inside they will pee and poo all over your house then it will stink so bad! So you might throw your cat outside! Finally cats will get bored and rip up all your stuff like rubbish and furniture and you might need to call your cat!
For these reasons, I am certain cats should be allowed outside.

Should We Wear School uniform?

I feel that Papatoetoe East School students should wear school uniform.
Firstly we should wear school uniform because we always look tidy. Surely with a uniform it easy to decide what to wear because there is no choice. Finally there is not so much washing because we don't get lots of muddy clothes.
In conclusion it is important to wear school uniform for all of these reasons.

Picnic bars are more yummier than Moro Bars

Some people believe that the Moro bar is yummier than picnic bars but I think it's not.
Firstly, a picnic bar is yummier then Moro bars because it has nuts and milky bars in it. Secondly, picnic bars are yummier classic bars and they are still making them. It is certain that the picnic is the most famous bar in New Zealand.
In conclusion I think that picnic bars are yummier because they are a good choice.

Picnic bars are yummier then Moro bars?

In my opinion I think that picnic bars are yummier then Moro bars.
Firstly, I would pick picnic bars because the nut bars are yummier then caramel.
Secondly, I'll pick picnic bars because there is a bar that's healthy and picnics have been here for years.
For this reason, I'll pick picnic bars because I love eating picnic bars and because it is only 1$ each and it is cheap.
In conclusion I suggest everybody needs to pick picnic bars if it is a vote.

What Tree should be planted on One Tree Hill?

I believe that we should plant a pohutukawa tree on One Tree Hill.
I believe that Native birds are attracted to the pohutukawa tree because of the nectar because they
like to drink it.
Secondly it has beautiful red flowers and it stands out.
Finally it can last up to 1000 years so it will be there for ages.
In my opinion  we should plant a pohutukawa tree.

Cats and Native birds.

Some believe that cats should not go outside but no! I say that cats should be able to go out side for these reasons:
One, because cats are historically outdoors creatures, and that's their natural environment. And also wouldn't you want to let a cute, cuddly friend be able to go out side and have fun? If you don't let them out they will scratch our stuff, hide it and even break it. And oh yes they will pee and poo inside and I know you will not like to cleaning up after it.
The last idea of all is, cats need freedom and I mean really have freedom. I mean that it's not fair that dogs have freedom like getting walks ( except RagDoll cats they go on walks) so it's certain that cats should be able to go out side even if they do eat native birds. One last thing you can help native birds by putting collars with bells so that when's cats run to get them they can hear the bell so they can fly away.

A Totara tree should be planted on One Tree Hill.

Firstly a Totara tree can grow up to 120ft tall in 100 years so it will stay there for a long time.
Secondly a Totara tree is a native tree so some native birds might like it.
Finally the Totara tree was the tree that used to be on One Tree Hill so it is historical.
In my opinion we should plant a Totara tree on One Tree Hill.

What Tree Should Be Planted On One Tree Hill?

I believe that we should plant a pohutakawa tree on One Tree Hill.

I feel that we should plant a pohutakawa tree because it can last for 1000 years so it will be there for ages.
I am certain that a pohutakawa tree is a symbol of NZ , it is like our Christmas Tree and we will be able to see it and celebrate it at Christmas.
Therefore I think that we should plant a pohutakawa tree because it  is a very strong tree and it is very windy on One Tree Hill , that means it will be most likely to survive the weather.

As you can see we should plant a pohutakawa tree on One Tree Hill.

What tree should be planted on One Tree Hill?

I believe that we should plant a wonderful Totara tree on One Tree Hill.

The first reason is that a Totara tree has been planted on One Tree Hill in the past so it's totally historical.

The second amazing reason is a Totara is a native tree so hopefully beautiful native birds should like it.

And finally it could grow 120 feet tall in 100 years. And when it's 100 years time people could see it and think its spectacular.

In a million years I still believe that we should plant a Totara tree on One Tree Hill.

The Amazing Kea

In the beginning, the Kingdom was a great striking forest where birds of different colours and sizes lived all together in peace and harmony.  Every bird kept eating the berries and insects. They all had the same song but different coloured feathers. The cheeky kea kept playing tricks on his friends and other birds. Every single bird had the same features and it was always summer and always day.
Later on the time of quarrelling began. The birds started to get greedy and they were stealing food out of each others beaks. They were punching and scratching each other and taking more food than they needed, and making more of them to be stronger. Then a great blanket of darkness fell upon the sky and made it dark and stormy for the first time.
In the sky emerged the phoenix god Ka. He made the birds climb a tree on one side so he could punish them but Krickta the kea was climbing the other side and stole sharp claws, a sharp beak, and a beautiful birdsong. When Ka punished the birds he gave them perches, jobs, different features and a different birdsongs.
When all the birds were gone Krickta the kea flew up and Ka was furious with him and flew away. But Krickta the kea followed him and the sunlight stained the bottom of his wings. Ka banished the kea to the snowy mountains and he took away his birdsong so they could only screech. But the kea got to keep the beak and claws.

Crazy Cockatiel

Once Mrs Osborne found a cockatiel in front of the library door outside. She picked it up and she came and visited our D5 family with the cocktiel on her shoulder. She said that it could say "good boy good boy" and "funny funny" then she returned to the library. Toby the cat scared her or him out of the library and then when Mrs Compston was interviewing a dad that wanted his son to be enrolled to our helpful school, suddenly... the cockatiel flashed through the door and landed right on her head. The dad grabbed the school book on his head to protect his head so that the cockatiel didn't put it's sharp claws on his head and he was terrified that it might be a wild creature. After that happened Mrs Osborne searched on the web and found where it lived so she took the cockatiel to the owner. They were afraid that a predator had eaten it or something happened to it but now it's safe and sound with it's owner and happy at his home.

The Legend Of The Kea

Long ago when the world was covered in trees, it was peaceful. There were birds that had the same features, and it was always summer and day time. All birds were helping and sharing but Krikta the kea was cheeky and mischievous, he played jokes on other birds.

Suddenly the time of quarrelling began, birds were fighting and stealing food from other birds beaks. The blood from their wounds ruined their colourful plumage. The bright sky disappeared and grey clouds spread across the sky. Ka suddenly appeared, "you have damaged the forest and you have destroyed the trees" shouted Ka .

He was so furious he punished them and gave them different jobs, features and perches. All of the birds had to climb the front of Ka's tree but Krikta the kea was curious so he climbed up the back and he stole a beak, claws and a beautiful birdsong.

The sun began to set, so Ka raised up in the sky and noticed Krikta the kea singing a beautiful birdsong. As quick as a flash Ka knew Krikta the kea stole the birdsong, beak and claws. So Ka took away their birdsong and now they can only screech. But they got to keep the sharp claws and beak. The keas were banished to the snowy mountains for ever more.

Cockatiel story

Mrs Osborne visited D5 with a cockatiel on her shoulder, it had a spiky yellow punk hairstyle and it looked like a mysterious creature. Toby scared the cockatiel in the library. Mrs Compston was interviewing a dad who wanted his son  to come to our school, when the cockatiel landed on her head!
The dad grabbed the school book and put it on his head to protect it. Mrs Osborne captured it and took it to her house. The cockatiel was in a cage so it could not fly away then Mrs Osborne found the owner on trade me and the owner was very happy.

Legend of the Kea

Once there was a place so peaceful and quiet that no person knew where it was, no one looked for it and no one knew of it. The land was so colourful that the forest was so hard to find because it could camouflage. The birds who lived there were colourful too and also birds could fly with feet!! Moas were tall as trees and fantails so big they could catch dragonflies. The birds could speak the same language and they lived in harmony and shared food like berries, seeds and much more. Krikta the kea got up to no good playing tricks on other birds, and being mischievious. Then came the time of quarrelling when birds fought and stole berries from other birds beaks! Their tears made rain for the first time ever in the forest! Just then, in a flash there stood the great Ka ruler of all birds and he spoke in a booming voice "you foolish birds you almost killed this beautiful forest that I made now for your punishment I'll give out places for birds to live, feathers, beaks and claws. So Ka gave the mark of shame to the gull because the gull stole berries from birds beaks and got banished to the sea side. The NZ Falcon got the beak of terror and it came with the taste of blood. Just then Krikta the kea stole the best voice and sang to his wife Starwing. Ka was so angry that Krikta stole all those things so Ka took away the Keas lovely voice. And Ka banished the keas to the snowy mountains for the rest of their lives.

The Legend of the Kea

One legendary day birds of many colours had a peaceful land where they lived harmoniously sharing all the berries, fruits and nectar altogether. All of the colourful birds had the same birdsong and had the same features, and the same language. Krikta the kea was so smart and mischievious, and so cheeky! Suddenly the time of quarrelling started. Ka the ruler of all of the birds was disappointed with all of the birds and he started to make the land pour with rain and storms and it was very dark. Ka banished all of the colourful birds and suddenly Ka took the other birds birdsong and took all of the birds feathers. Only one bird called Krikta the kea didn't go to Ka. Krikta stole the beak, strong wings and very sharp claws. Ka banished the other  birds like the tomtit, grey warbler and the silver eyes and gave them small beaks to eat insects and spiders. Ka gave all the birds jobs, different features and perches, except for the sneaky Krikta the kea. Ka gave the NZ falcon a cruel beak with the taste of blood and the seagull had the black mark of shame. The ruler of all birds banished the Kea's to have a different perch out of all of the birds, deep in the snowy mountains. Krikta the kea had no more birdsong but kept his sharp claws and beak.

Legend of the Kea

One legendary day birds of many colours lived in peace and harmony, sharing the fruit and nectar all together in the lovely forest where it was always summer. All of the magnificent birds had the same features like languages and birdsong and all the birds ate the same food too. Krikta the kea was playing jokes on his friends and being cheeky. But then came the time of the quarrelling and Ka, the greatest bird of all, made the land dark and stormy. Then the greastest bird Ka said " you foolish birds you have almost destroyed the beautiful forest." So Ka punished all the birds and gave them perches but the greedy Krikta the kea went at the back of the tree when all the other birds went at the front of the tree. Krikta the kea stole a beak and some claws and a lovely birdsong. But Ka knew about how Krikta the kea got the things so Ka got mad. "Where will I live?" said Krikta but Ka said "you don't need a place to live you have the powerful beak and claws." Ka banished the kea's and Krikta to the snowy mountains. Ka took away Krikta's beautiful birdsong so Krikta could only screech but he kept the beak and the claws. Even though Ka banished the kea's to the snowy mountains, Krikta and his darling Starwing still had a place to live.

Cockamania

On the 13th of June Mrs Osborne visited room D5 with a punky little cockatiel on her shoulder and everyone went nuts for it ( little show off. ) Then the next day Mrs Osborne was sorting some books when the cockatiel ran off in the blink of an eye, into Mrs Compston's office and flew on her head! Then Mrs Compston screamed and there was a wingnami and this happened right in the middle of an interview!! The man did not want the cockatiel to land on his head so he got the school interview book and put it on his head. The next day ( it was Saturday ) Mrs Osborne found the owner on trade me ( the  cockatiel was found outside wandering around and it got lost. ) And that was the end of that shenanigan.

The legend story

One legendary day there was a magnificent forest where peaceful birds lived together. It was full of peace and quiet. All of the colourful birds spoke the same language and ate the same food and sang the same birdsong. Then came the time of quarrelling and all of the birds were screeching. Until the greatest bird of all called Ka, he made it dark and stormy. Ka the greatest bird of all punished the birds and gave them perches and jobs. Ka punished the NZ falcon for nasty behaviour and banished the seagull from the forest. Krikta the kea made the birds all angry because he stole a birdsong, claws and a beak. So Ka gave him no place to live because Krikta already had the best features. Krikta followed Ka all the way to the sky and Krikta's wings turned orangish-red. He had nowhere to live so he had to live in the snowy mountains. Krikta called all the other keas and when the keas got there Krikta tricked them and all the keas were scattered around. Krikta slipped down the mountain as the sun rose and Krikta and his friend Starwing were together and built their own nest.

Legend of the Kea

In one great magnificent forest lived birds of all kinds, they had beautiful colours and melodies. The birds lived in peace and harmony and all the birds had the same features. In that beautiful forest it was always summer and daylight. They ate luscious berries and gobbled up juicy insects. Moas and wekas used to play and  have fun also Krikta the Kea and his friends were always playing practical jokes on others. There were even parrots coloured like the rainbow.

Then  came the time of quarrelling when birds turned furiously against each other. Grey Warbler was the greediest bird of all and the seagulls stole berries from other birds beaks and they were savage. Then came Ka the greatest bird of all and he made the land dark and stormy for the first time in forever.

Ka started to punish all the birds one by one, he gave them jobs, perches, and features. But suddenly Krikta the Kea stole a beautiful birdsong, claws, beaks and features. Meanwhile when Krikta the Kea was singing to his darling Starwing, Ka saw him and he was angry. Just then Ka was about to go when Krikta asked him about the Kea's perches, jobs and features and Ka said
"you are brave enough, you have got the most beautiful claws and beaks!" Krikta and the other Keas were banished to live in the harsh snowy mountains forever.

The Funny Story

Last week we had a visitor. It was Mrs Osborne and she had a bird on her shoulder. It was a Cockatiel!!! Mrs Osborne didn't come inside our classroom I think because the Cockatiel was too shy. Yesterday in the afternoon we went to the library. While we were at the library, we saw Mrs Osborne and she was holding a book. Mrs Osborne said, "Yesterday in the afternoon I went on trade me and clicked on lost pets and found pets and I saw the owner. So I called the owner and they came straight away." Before Mrs Osborne came, Mrs.Compston was in the office interviewing a dad that wanted his son to come (be enrolled) to our school. Suddenly the Cockatiel landed on Mrs Compston's head! The dad grabbed a book and put it on his head before the Cockatiel could land on the dad's head. That's the end of the Funny Story.

Tremendous Appearance

On a funny Thursday Mrs Osborne appeared to visit D5 with a cockatiel on her shoulder! She walked with happiness and she said "this is a very beautiful bird it has a spiky punk hair style!" It's tail was a bit long and it has white and yellow feathers. Later that day Mrs Compston had invited a man and his child so he could be enrolled in our school. Mrs Osborne was on her way to the library to check some books and the cockatiel flew away to Mrs Compston's office. The man got a fright and got a book and put it on his head, then Mrs Comptson asked "why are you frightened?" The man said "there is a cockatiel on your head!" Mrs Compston shook her head and went flying out the door with the cockatiel. Everyone chased the cockatiel outside and it flew away.

The Cockatiel

One day Mrs Osborne visited D5 with a cockatiel on her shoulder. It had appeared that day in the library - maybe it was lost? The next day suddenly the cockatiel landed on Mrs Compston's head. The dad she was talking to grabbed a school book and put on his head  to protect it. The cockatiel then landed on Mrs Compstons head again. Mrs Osborne took it home and found the owner.

The Funniest Cockatiel

One lovely day when Mrs Osborne visited she had a lovely bird named the cockatiel. She took it home in a safe cage then the next day she gave it to the office to show them. Mrs Compston was talking to a dad when suddenly the cockatiel landed on her head. The dad got a fright so he put the school books on his head so he didn't get hurt. Mrs Compston got a fright and she screamed loudly so that everyone could hear. The noise was so annoying that we couldn't write. The cockatiel was found in the library near the door. The colour on its back is grey and it has yellow feathers on it's head.

The Legend of the Kea

One peaceful day there was a gigantic forest where birds of many colours lived in harmony, and they shared all the juicy berries and nectar. All of the lovely birds were happy but the kea was playing jokes on his friends. Then the time of the quarrelling began and the grey warbler was the first greedy bird. The seagull stole berries from birds beaks. Tomtits started fighting with the kiwi. All of the flowers, nectar and fruit  had all been squashed down. Then there was a stormy voice and it started getting dark - there was a huge silence and all of a sudden Ka came, the greatest bird of all. He was ferocious and Ka said " you have almost destroyed the beautiful forest. And now you will be busy planting trees and berries". Then Ka ordered the birds to come out from their hiding places and fly up to the tree to get their job, perches and feathers. Ka gave the tui and the bellbird a nice voice. The kea climbed up into the back of the tree and he stole the feathers behind Ka's back. Ka said the grey warbler was so greedy that it will not eat berries any more, it can only eat bugs in the ground. Tomtit and wren changed their beaks so they could no longer eat fruit. Then Ka said to the kea" I will take your voice and you only keep your beaks, claws and wings. So Ka shut his wings and let the sun shine. The keas now have a place to live that is the snowy mountains but not in the forest. They were banished for stealing.

Legend of the Kea

One legendary day, birds of many colours lived in a magnificent peaceful and quiet forest. They were sharing all the yummy juicy insects, sweet fruit, and nectar. All of the amazing birds had the same birdsong and the same features and the same language. Krikta the kea was so cheeky, mischievous, smart and greedy. And then one day all of a sudden all the birds grew greedy and they laid too many eggs. That means more of their kind and then the birds started fighting over fruit, berries, insects, and nectar. The first greedy bird was the Grey warbler and then the Tomtits. Next they started fighting, and crying and soon pain and tears ran down their face. Black clouds appeared from the distance and all the birds went silent as they saw the black night and storm. The sun rose again and Ka the greatest bird of all was very angry and punished the birds. He made them only speak to their own kind and gave them somewhere to perch, jobs, beaks, feathers, birdsong and the food that they can eat. But Krikta the Kia climbed up the back of Ka's tree and stole a sharp beak, birdsong, sharp claws. Then he went down the tree and sang his sweet bird song to his partner Starwing. All the birds were making the forest better again and so they lived happily together again.

Cheeky Keas

It all started in the beautiful and legendary forest where it was peaceful, and this forest was  was shared by all sorts of birds. The birds in that forest all had the same kinds of features like they had the same kinds of wings, and feathers. In the huge forest it was always day time and the sun was always shining. Krikta the kea was always playing practical jokes on other birds.
Long after the peace and harmony the time of quarrelling came and it all started because grey warbler decided that she would lay more eggs so there was more of her kind. All of the birds then decided " I want more of me now" and that's when the quarrelling started. At once, for the first time in forever, the sky went pitch black and there was complete silence. Ka, the greatest bird of all approached and said in a clear and angry voice " you have all been bad birds and for that I will punish you and give you all different jobs, perches, and features".
The birds all then had to climb up the front of Ka's tree but Krikta the kea climbed up the back and stole some, feathers, claws, wings, and a beatiful bird song. Krikta the kea was singing his beatiful melodies to his wife Starwing, meanwhile the other keas were getting their features. Ka saw Krikta and took the bird song and flew up high into the sky. Krikta followed and asked " but where should we live?" Ka pointed to the snowy mountains and the keas actually loved it there! But the keas still haven't learnt their leason because they are still cheeky!

The Legend of the Kea

There once was a far away land covered with beautiful birds of all colours and sizes. It was a time of peace and all the birds lived together in harmony. The birds had pretty birdsongs and they could grunt, chirp, chortle and imitate other birds. The kea was the cheekiest bird on earth. The Silvereye started a fight and Ka punished the birds because they were all fighting. The kea stole claws, beak, and feathers. Ka the greatest bird gave the birds each a different birdsong and Ka flew far far away where he can never see the kea again.

Cockatiel madness

One day at school when we were doing art Mrs Osborne came in D5 with a lost yellow ( sitting on her shoulder ) cockatiel! Mrs Osborne said it was banging and crashing around in the hall. The next day when we were at the library she came in and told us what happened before it was returned to it's owner. Mrs Compston was chatting to a dad who wanted to sign his son up for this school. Well guess what happened next... Toby the cat scared the poor bird and with a quick beat of wings... The bird was on Mrs Compston's head. She shrieked! He shrieked! And he grabbed a book and put it on his head. Thankfully Mrs Osborne got it and found it's owner on trade me!

Rarest bird in the world

On NZ's Mangere Island lives the rarest bird in the world. The black robin. How I can describe the black robin is that it has serious looking eyes. Black robins are chubby, fluffy and poofy. They are really black, short and tiny too. They look really cute they have a short tail too. It's beak is whitish and blackish. The black robin has brown legs and sharp claws. It has black feathers too. The black robin is as black as night. But the black robin used to be the rarest bird in the world but now their are only 250 black robins in the world.

NZ Black Robins

On Mangere Island there are Black Robins. Black robins have black feathers, a yellow and grey beak and serious black eyes. There used to be only 5 black robins now  there are 250 thanks to Old Blue. Black robins were once the rarest birds in  NZ.

Famous Black Robin.

Once it was a freezing day and there were only five Robins left in the world, one Robin named Old Blue. Old Blue was the bird that helped to save the Black Robins. Don Merton also helped to save the Robins when they were born. Sometimes Warblers can help by building a warm nest that might feel comfortable for the Robin chicks. These Robins live on an island called Mangere Island. Cats and rats kill Robins. The Black Robins almost got extinict. Old Blue layed eggs but the Robins still died. Don Merton picked up the baby Robins and took them to Mangere island. They took the eggs to a lovely bird named the Tomtit. When the Robin is born it looks chubby. It flies well and also it has sharp claws. It is ready to fly in the air and it can hop about on the ground. Black Robins are still endangered, it's Maori name is toutouwai

The beautiful black robins

Are you wondering about Black Robins, well I can tell you a lot about the Black Robins now. Once the black robins were going to be extinct and they were the rarest birds in the world. There are 250 now that's not much but 250 wow. The black robin is very protective of its chicks, it's chubby, puffy, black and feathery. They can fly and hop, they lay eggs in a nest too. These birds eat grubs wetas and more. The bird Old Blue is the one who saved them also doc Don Merton helped a lot.  Black robins are still endangered so we help them. They live in New Zealand. The Black Robin is as black as the dark sky's shadows and they have very black dangerous looking eyes. They are the best birds in the world.

Little Black Robins

Have you heard of the native Black Robin? Today I am going to talk about them. The best thing about them is that they were rare. They have a blackish and whitish tail and their beaks are quite curved and the colour of their beaks is black and grey. Black robins are very guarded of their chicks. Their feathers are smooth as melted chocolate they also lay eggs in nests. The fact is that Old Blue was the only female that could lay eggs and Old blue was the only female Robin and with the help of Don Merton those two had helped the Black Robins be safe and increase the number of Robins in the world. There are 250, now some people might think that's lots but they are still endangered.

The Famous Black Robin

One sunny but cold day there were 5 Black Robins on a berry tree. The famous Black Robins have black feathers and they have sharp claws. They are fluffy and chubby and the size of a Robin is about 18cm. The Maori name is called toutouwai. The Black Robins breeding time is July and January and it's family's name is called passerine birds. The Black Robins live in the forest with big long trees. It can also live around 5 years. The Black Robin eats grubs, wetas and worms and also other bugs. It also has serious eyes.
