Their once was a black Robin, it's feathers were pitch black, it had a greyish blackish beak and it was the most chubbyest tiny bird you would ever see. It had skinny scaly legs and it is 16-18 centimetres long, and is extra cute. Black Robins eat grubs, worms, and bugs. Black Robins lay their eggs in a nest or in a old falcon's nest. At one point it's kind were one of the rarest birds in the world. It's numbers increased and now thanks to Don Merton there is now 5 to 250!

Saving black robins
NZ has an amazing bird living on Mangere Island. They are called black robins. Black robins are as chubby as a baby and their feathers are as black as the night. They were once the rarest bird in the world. Black robins also lay eggs in a nest. They also eat grubs, insects, wetas and even worms like some birds do. They can even fly and they also are tiny birds. All black robins are black. Black robins claws are as sharp as a cats. There eyes are as furious as a man angry. They also are endemic to NZ. They are small birds and when they are walking they sort of hop. The colour of their beak is blackish grey and they have a short tail.

There are now 250 Robins left. Black robins live in the Chatham Islands. They eat Grubs, Wetas and insects and they live in the forest. Female Robins lay eggs in a nest and they protect them from pests and predators. These tiny birds can't fly anywhere because they have small wings. They are also 18cm long. The Black Robins Maori name is Toutouwai. It is also endemic to NZ meaning it lived here before us!

One stormy day I saw the last five Black Robins in the world. On Mangere Island I pick up one it was name Old Blue. They can hop high up in the sky. It is chubby Black Robins. The size of a Black robin is about 18cmand they can fly and hop. Their eye are furious like a lion and they have a short tail. Their claws are sharp. It feathers is so so poofy. Now in this world there are only 250 left.

Beautiful Black Robin.
One windy day on Mangere Island there were only five black robins in the world. It was a very windy day in Mangere Island and I saw only five black robins. Black Robios can fly up in the sky and they can hop. They are about 18cm and they have short tails and short beaks. Black Robions are roundy and very small. Now they are only 250 Black robins in the world. They are very cute and poofy and they are black. The colour of the black robins feathers is black and the beak is black and grey. And they can hop fast and fly fast.

One mysterious blazing hot day on Mangere Island lived the rarest bird called the Black Robin. I heard that it was nearly extinct but then someone saved them Dr Don Merton and there were only 5 more Black Robins. Their body is pitch black and there beaks are greyish and little bit white.The Black Robin is so scruffy and fluffy and they have furious looking black eyes. It is chubby as a baby. Now there are only 250 Black Robins in the world. The Black Robins are endemic which means Black Robins were always here. Black Robins lay eggs and Black Robins eat grubs, wetas and insects.The Maori name is Toutouwai.

It has big fluffy feathers and it can only fly at a low amount of speed because of it's tiny wings. It can't go that fast. A black robin can only live for about 4 or 5 years and they live on Mangere Island.
